Derby Cathedral Service Celebrating 175 Years of Railways

A special commemorative service to celebrate 175 years of railways in Derby will be held at 11am on Saturday 25 October at Derby Cathedral. The service, led by the Dean of Derby, The Very Reverend Dr John Davies DL, has been organised with the support of the Derby & Derbyshire Rail Forum, the Railway Mission and leading law firm Geldards . The Derby 175 celebrations have also been supported by Derby City Council and the Derby Telegraph. The ceremony will be open to the public and will be addressed by the Rt Hon Patrick McLoughlin MP, Secretary of State for Transport.
