Arriva Trains UK Limited is the company that oversees Arriva’s train operating companies in the United Kingdom.

The Arriva Group one of the leading providers of passenger transport in Europe.  Arriva employs more than 60,000 people and delivers over 2 billion passenger journeys across 14 European countries each year.  Arriva runs a range of transport services including trains, buses, trams, coaches, waterbuses and non-emergency passenger transport.  It is part of Deutsche Bahn (DB) and is responsible for DB’s regional passenger transport services outside Germany.

Arriva Trains UK Limited run four passenger services in the UK:

    • Chiltern Railways
    • Cross Country
    • Grand Central
    • Arriva Rail London (London Overground)

 

Chiltern Railways
Chiltern Railways operates scheduled passenger services from London Marylebone to destinations in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire and the West Midlands.

Grand Central
Grand Central provides rail services, under an open-access framework, from the North East of England and York to London, and from West Yorkshire and Doncaster to London.

CrossCountry
The CrossCountry network is the most extensive in Britain, calling at 118 stations and connecting seven of the 10 largest cities. Operating Britain’s longest continual journey of 750 miles from Aberdeen to Penzance, and providing train services in all three countries, CrossCountry brings more of Britain together than any other train operator. With 7 routes radiating from Birmingham our network includes key city destinations: Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Sheffield, Nottingham, Bristol, Southampton, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Arriva Rail London
Arriva Rail London is the train operating company responsible for running the London Overground network under a Concession Agreement with Transport for London (TfL).
