Hitachi Information Control Systems Europe & GCRE sign on digital dotted line..

Celebrations were afoot at the annual Dinner at the Roundhouse, the rail industry’s favourite networking event in its 11th year with over 700 guests from across the UK’s rail sector.

The keynote speakers included Andre Haines OBE, the Chief Executive Officer of Network Rail and one of the most influential figures in UK transport. This was a great insight into the wider rail sector as well as the opportunity to hear some opinions from industry leaders.

For Hitachi Information Control Systems Europe, it was a fantastic event to be able to get together and mark the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Global Centre of Rail Excellence (GCRE), which see’s collaboration on simulation, modelling, and operations for the future GCRE site.

Denise Watkins, Head of Sales at HICSE said “We are delighted to be involved with this exciting new development. Once open, the GCRE will provide vital services to the UK and international rail industry and accelerate the introduction of innovative technology. We are proud to be supporting the GCRE team to deliver this ambitious project.”

Finally, the event isn’t all about networking and making connections, it’s about demonstrating the generosity that has always been there within the railway sector, to date raising over a quarter of a million for charity, proving the sector’s incredible power to drive change and help those in need.
