Bradford on Avon businesses work together to support local community projects

When Hitachi Information Control Systems (based in Bradford on Avon) embarked on raising funds by having a charity raffle for their Christmas party last year, they were bowled over when other local businesses got on board, not just to donate prizes but also adding much needed funds to the pot!

And this month, teams came together to present cheques to their beneficiaries, Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Bradford Town Football Club.

Handing over cheques totalling over £1600 was only made possible with further donations from local companies, Ashford Homes and Team Eleven – and much coffee and cake was shared at the press morning at Hitachi’s offices in Bradford on Avon.

Wiltshire Air Ambulance corporate partnerships lead Naomi Barker said: “We can’t thank Hitachi & all their supporters enough for their incredible fundraising efforts to support our lifesaving charity. Over the last 12 months, Hitachi has effectively funded four units of LyoPlas; a freeze-dried plasma given to a patient as part of a blood transfusion to stem bleeding. Their support has made a huge difference in the community.”

Raffle prizes included some great prizes donated ranging from a Dinner Voucher from Pablo’s to treatment vouchers from Serenity Beauty and a top of the range coffee machine donated by Knees of Trowbridge.
