London Northwestern Railway launches summer sale with return tickets to London and Liverpool from £15

London Northwestern Railway launched its summer sale today (Tuesday 24 June), offering off-peak day return tickets to London and Liverpool from as little as £15.

From now until Sunday 6 July, passengers can secure reduced rates on journeys between Monday 30 June and Thursday 31 August. For the offer to be valid, tickets must be booked at least seven days before departure.

Whether it’s a family visit to one of the city’s famous museums, a romantic dinner at the latest restaurant opening, or a solo shopping spree, LNR’s sale makes it easier and cheaper to experience the best of London and Liverpool.

Railway travellers can even save on attractions with a selection of vouchers available online which are unlocked by presenting valid train tickets. Hop on a Thames River cruise in London or test your music knowledge at The Beatles Story Museum in Liverpool – all for less when you travel by rail.

During the sale period, off-peak day return tickets to either Liverpool or London start from just £15 (£9.95 with a railcard), with rates based on a zonal map found on the LNR website. The three flat-rate prices – £15, £20 or £25 – are based on departure station and can be purchased online or in-person. A valid railcard secures an additional third off the sale price, with children’s tickets 50% off.

Jonny Wiseman, customer experience director for London Northwestern Railway, said: “This summer, there are huge savings to be had when travelling to London or Liverpool with us, especially when using a railcard. Our useful zonal map is the best way to find out how cheap your fare could be from your nearest station, so I encourage customers to find out more by visiting our website.”
