In 2021 Beacon introduced a 5-a-side football tournament in London to support the Railway Children and then last year following the success of these introduced a new 5-a-side European tournament. The competitions bring together operators, maintainers, suppliers and many others from across the rail industry for a day of friendly competition, fun and valuable networking whilst supporting and raising awareness of the Railway Children.
Over £100k has been raised since 2021 for the Railway Children which shows an immense level of support and commitment from the rail industry to help the charity carry out their vital work to support vulnerable children and young people safe.
This year the European tournament is being held in Amsterdam on 7th May and the London tournament on 10th September.
