On Thursday 21st May Incremental won the Deutsche Bahn Mindbox regional trains positioning challenge.
The challenge was reliably demonstrating which track a train was actually on in complex rail environments where standard positioning approaches struggle. Incremental’s solution focused on combining network logic with probabilistic modelling to improve confidence and remove impossible movements.
A good reminder that strong technical solutions still need clear positioning:
- what problem exists
- why current approaches fail
- what changes operationally when solved
