RFM has joined forces with the National Skills Academy for Rail (NSAR) to run this workshop aimed at helping employers to get ready for the changes, challenges and opportunities in apprenticeships. The workshop will include
– an explanation of the new apprenticeship standards and why these changes are important for employers
– current thoughts on the apprenticeship levy which will come into force in 2017. ALL employers with a salary bill in excess of £3m p.a. will be subject to the levy. The workshop will explore what actions employers need to consider now to take advantage of what they will pay as a levy or, for those that will not pay the levy, how they can access funding for apprentices
– discussion about the potential support services that we are planning to offer employers.
