IMechE Railway Division Midlands Centre : WMT New EMU Fleet

Neil Bamford, West Midlands Trains, Engineering Director will jointly present with Zena Dent, West Midlands Trains Bombardier Aventra Project Manager. The content will cover the West Midlands Trains Franchise which started in December 2017 and the overall strategy, scope and aims of the Franchise and highlight achievements and difficulties thus far along with a forecast of what is to come and expectations. The rolling stock plan will feature the new fleets, the fleet refurbishments and the cascade. Also covered will be the current position on the Depot & Stabling Strategy which go hand in hand with the rolling stock deployment. Engineering challenges and difficulties will be highlighted.
