iRail 2016 will be held at the iPro stadium, home to Derby County Football Club, on Tuesday 15th March.
Now in its 7th year iRail will have a similar format to previous years:
8.30am – 9.45am Business Networking Breakfast and launch of iRail STEM Challenge 2016. The networking breakfast is open to all Rail Forum members and provides an opportunity to meet colleagues, discuss current issues and see what we are doing to inspire the next generation to consider a career in the rail industry.
9.00am – 3.30pm iRail STEM Challenge involving teams from 20 schools from across Derby, Nottingham and Leicester. In addition to the STEM challenge the day includes visits to Bombardier and East Midlands Control Centre. There are also opportunities for organisations to exhibit and showcase their products and services during the day.
5.00pm – 7.30pm iRail Distinguished Lecture including canapes and refreshments (speaker tbc shorly). The Distinguished Lecture will be delivered by a leading industry figure, previous speakers have included Prof. Andrew McNaughton, Richard Parry-Jones and Chris Green. Further details about this year’s lecture will be provided shortly.
