Insider Media are working with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) to deliver an event for manufacturers on future direction, innovation, opportunities and support. The pace of change means manufacturers need to be aware of the very latest direction their sector is taking to inform their future R&D decisions. The conference will examine challenges, solutions, case studies and support in developing business opportunities and illuminate the cutting edge technology of the future.

The event will include a Railway session, looking at the future of the UK rail industry, challenges and how to capture business opportunities.

During the session, delegates will hear from a number of high-quality experts, including HS2 Rail Systems Director, Giles Thomas: “There is a huge opportunity for us to utilise technology to improve on the way we work in building the HS2 infrastructure. The innovation that the rail supply chain offers us will be crucial to making HS2 happen.”

Other speakers confirmed for the Railway session include: Gordon Wakeford, Managing Director, Siemens Mobility Division UK, who will set out the vision of the Rail Industry Group; helping the supply chain to grow at home and abroad. Simon Iwnicki, Professor of Railway Engineering at the University of Huddersfield, will explain some of the funding streams that SMEs can tap into in order to bolster innovation. UKTI Rail Specialist, Jake Rudham will describe the support available for rail companies looking to work on overseas projects.

Places for the conference sessions are limited but still available. Register your interest in attending here. For more details on the UKTI event programme at IFB2016, Please visit UKTI IFB2016
