KEY ACTIVITIES

Rail Forum Network Portal

Rail Forum members can now register for and use Network Portal.

Network Portal is a new supply chain collaboration and intelligence platform that streamlines inter-company communication and securely captures multi-tier supply chain intelligence so that organisations can increase network competitiveness.

Developed through our Innovate UK funded programme powered by Valuechain, and developed with partners North East Automotive Alliance and West of England Aerospace Forum.

This new digital tool not only allows you to locate and connect with Suppliers, Customers, Research and Development Partners but also facilitates connections with wider networks to help you find new suppliers and new customers.

The cluster search system has been designed for ease of use among procurement and engineering professionals enabling you to quickly pin point a businesses capabilities and exactly who you need to speak to to get the job done.

If you don’t already have an account and to request access to Network Portal please contact elaine@railforum.uk

Future Talent

The rail industry is suffering from significant skills shortages across numerous job roles; from engineering to digital and from management to customer service. With an aging workforce we all have a part to play to attract the next generation of rail professionals to join the industry.

Rail Forum has been running the iRail schools engagement programme for a number of years. Originally centred around a STEM challenge day for year 9 pupils we have now developed a number of rail themed lessons and projects that schools can use throughout the school year as appropriate for them. These materials will be available shortly.

Rail Forum also supports the Primary Engineer Rail programme by facilitating collaborative partnerships across members.

Future Policy
