We act on behalf of people in the West Midlands to maximise the benefits of the rail network for local communities. The region’s local authorities own the West Midlands Rail Executive (WMRE), so we are democratically run and accountable to elected representatives. Within the West Midlands Combined Authority area, WMRE is integrated with Transport for West Midlands to provide a specialist rail function. Collaboration is at the heart of our organisation. We work with the Department for Transport, Network Rail, train operating companies and a multitude of other partners. Historically, the rail industry has been very fragmented. East Midlands Chamber of Commerce is THE leading voice for business in the East Midlands, covering Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire. We  are the only charity which solely supports railway staff and their families. Assistance is provided in many forms; on both short term and long term basis. We tailor our help to the needs of each individual. All our help is given in the strictest of confidence.

Railway Children fight for vulnerable children who live alone and at risk on the streets, where they suffer abuse and exploitation. We provide protection and opportunity for children with nowhere else to go and nobody to turn to. Every day we fight to change their story and the fantastic support we receive across the Rail Industry is paramount to this.
