UKTram is the authoritative voice of the UK and Ireland's light rail sector, representing system operators, promoters, manufacturers, consultants, and key industry stakeholders. As a not-for-profit organisation, it supports the development and integration of light rail and other forms of urban transit.

Guided by the values of Integrity, Innovation, Proactive thinking and Collaboration, UKTram supports its members through policy influence, technical expertise and knowledge-sharing initiatives. It works closely with its members to drive sector improvement and ensure light rail continues to play a vital role in future-ready, integrated transport solutions.

Its long-term strategy (2025–2040) champions sustainability, decarbonisation, modal shift and accessibility for all, while supporting the sector's growth, the development of new schemes along with the advancement of careers, training and ED&I.
