ISS Labour upgrade membership to Patron

Rail Forum Midlands (RFM) is delighted to announce that ISS Labour Ltd have decided to upgrade their membership to Patron level.

Previously a standard member, ISS Labour is a dynamic and expanding rail business with the capability to manage and supply a complete delivery service in track renewals, projects, maintenance and minor works within the UK Railway and Light-Rail Sectors.

They are a national tier one labour supplier to several blue-chip rail organisations and are a leading supplier of site lighting and safety barrier fencing in the UK. They have just designed and manufactured a new rechargeable battery and LED lighting system that will reduce carbon emissions and noise pollution on worksites.

The team has over 20 years’ experience of delivering innovative and pro-active solutions to the industry and all of their services are RISQS approved, having been awarded a five star supplier status.

Simon Higgens, Group Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Director at ISS said “Proud of its Derby roots, ISS Labour Ltd is a railway company that recognises and draws upon the strengths of the Midlands’ economic, business and academic communities.  Having recently expanded its range of services to now include Safety Critical, Track, Civils, OLE and Signalling & Telecoms staff, becoming Patron of the Rail Forum Midlands exposes us to a wider market and helps us to raise the profile of the company and showcase the services it offers.  It also demonstrates that we want to contribute towards the Midlands economic growth, and this allows us to give something back by helping to nurture smaller companies in a similar position to us 20 years ago”.

Elaine Clark, CEO of RFM said “We are delighted that ISS Labour have decided to upgrade their membership to Patron for the 2020/21 year. Our focus isn’t only on business growth, we also recognise the challenges that the sector faces and our partnerships with industry groups look at how these can be overcome. Simon has previously chaired our Derby College Rail Employment and Skills Academy and he was instrumental in working with us to establish our ‘Military is Good for Rail’ careers events for people who have recently left, or are planning their exit from, the UK’s armed forces and who are looking for new career opportunities.”
