RSG Engineering Marks 50 Years in Business

RSG Engineering in Leicester is proud this year to mark 50 years in business, since founded by current chairman Mr Raja Singh in 1971.

Set up to provide machining services to the booming Midlands engineering sector, RSG Engineering quickly became the supplier of choice for a number of high profile companies based at the historic Falcon Works in Loughborough, predominantly Brush Traction, where 10,000 workers on site were engaged in the manufacture of locomotives.

With a reputation for quality, reliability and a “make it happen” short lead time approach that has been maintained to this day, the company has focused in the Rail sector and expanded its customer base to businesses throughout the UK supply chain.

The company now works in supporting anyone from maintenance engineers at depots across the country’s railways, to the largest Train manufacturers who are designing & building the next generation of Rolling Stock for growing rail networks both in Britain and abroad.

Over the years, the family-run company has moved with the times, consistently investing in the latest technology to meet the demands of its customers. A six-figure investment in the latest CNC machinery has recently been made as the business plans for recovery beyond the pandemic.

By maintaining a strict focus on the customer’s needs, the management at RSG Engineering continue to meet the highest standards of service, safety, and traceability in line with their ISO 9001 accreditation.

Sales and Projects Manager Paul Williams concludes “Our presence in the UK Rail Industry is built on a strong heritage and a forward-looking philosophy to continually adapt our offering to support the changing needs of our customers. We are pleased to have joined the Rail Forum and can’t wait to collaborate and discuss ideas with other members.”
