RFM Members Recognised at Railway Industry Innovation Awards

Rail Forum were delighted to be in attendance at the Fourth Friday Clubs’ Railway Innovation Awards 2021 last Friday 15th October in London.

This annual celebration of innovation for the railway provided a great opportunity for companies across the industry to highlight their successes and we were extremely pleased to see so many Rail Forum members nominated.

Major Project

Congratulations to Network Rail’s King’s Cross Remodelling, which won Major Project, and also Highly Commended for the Glasgow Queen Street Redevelopment.

 

Cross Industry Partnership

Congratulations to Patron Member Resonate, Highly Commended in this category for their Luminate Traffic Management System

 

Environment & Sustainability

In this very competitive category, it was fantastic to see three of our members nominated: HVO Locomotive from DB Cargo, together with Highly Commended nominee Cleartrak from GBR-Rail and the winner, Patron Member Porterbrook for the Flex.

 

Small Scale Project

Congratulations to winner Digital Innovation & collaboration in Engineering (DICE) from Network Rail, and further Network Rail project Highly Commended TrackWater 2.0

 

Engineering and Safety

Congratulations to Network Rail and Knight Architects for the Flow Footbridge which won this award, with fellow member ESG, with Sella Controls, nominated for their Physical Prevention of Overspeeding System.

 

People, Skills and Diversity

Congratulations to member 3Squared, Highly Commended for their People at the Heart of the Business.

 

Other awards issued include Passenger Experience and Operations and Performance.

 

At this interesting, engaging and very well attended ‘in-person’ event, it was refreshing to meet so many colleagues and members, and we look forward to saluting engineering prowess in the Fourth Friday Clubs Golden Spanners later next month.  Perhaps see you there.
