The [anti-slip safe walking] Route 2 Zero

It is sometimes difficult for suppliers to be able to illustrate clearly how they are helping decarbonise the railway supply chain, so we are excited to share the following update with the Rail Forum community:

Last year seven thousand tonnes (or 7 million kg!) of household plastic was recycled to manufacture Green Trough cable-management and anti-slip walkway systems.  In consumer terms this equates to approximately 467,000,000 average water bottles.  To help visualise this, the image below shows Gary and Kyle holding 14kg of plastic between them – the amount of plastic that goes into every single unit of a 200 series trough.

So the next time you see our grey systems running trackside, take a moment to appreciate how green it really is!
