GBRf has successfully operated 99001 from Peterborough to Doncaster, hauling the 6E86 sand train.
The purpose of the run was to trial both load and timing on this specific route. The results were positive, and further test runs are scheduled to continue later this week in the Eastern Region.
GBRf continues to undergo Network compatibility testing with Network Rail and its own loaded train tests.
During October, the Class 99s will be operating on the Midland, Great Western and Southern mainlines to ensure compatibility compliance.
