Staytite has outlined the progress it has made on sustainability and environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives during 2026, highlighting achievements across environmental performance, employee wellbeing, community engagement and engineering innovation.
The engineering supply partner, which provides fasteners, C-class components, consumables, tools, PPE and engineered solutions to sectors including manufacturing and rail, has continued to embed sustainability throughout its business operations, from supply chain management and procurement practices to employee initiatives and biodiversity projects.
As part of its commitment to measuring and improving sustainability performance, Staytite achieved a further improvement in its EcoVadis sustainability assessment in 2026. The assessment reflected progress across environmental performance, ethical business practices, labour and human rights, and sustainable procurement.
The company also received industry recognition at the 2026 Siemens Mobility Supplier Awards, winning first place for Resource Efficiency & Circularity and being named runner-up in the SME Sustainable Supplier of the Year category.
Internally, Staytite has introduced a Travel Plan designed to encourage walking, cycling, public transport and car sharing, alongside workplace wellbeing initiatives. Its employee volunteering programme recorded 225 hours during 2025, including local litter-picking activities, while colleagues have also participated in Culture Day events, wellbeing activities, a staff BBQ and fundraising initiatives such as a Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning.
The company has also been investing in biodiversity improvements on its own land. Working alongside Chiltern Rangers, employees have helped transform part of the site into a developing wild meadow designed to increase plant diversity, improve habitats and support pollinators and local insect populations. Additional initiatives have included building bird boxes from recycled pallets and creating planting areas to attract bees and butterflies.
Staytite says sustainability also plays an important role in the engineering solutions it provides. The company considers factors such as reliability, maintenance requirements, product lifespan and asset performance when developing and supplying solutions for customers.
One example is its Intelligent Bolt technology, which provides real-time information on bolt load, enabling engineers to monitor fastening conditions and make more informed maintenance decisions. The company believes this can contribute to improved asset management and operational efficiency.
Alongside these initiatives, Staytite continues to review and reduce its Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, with a long-term goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
Looking ahead, the business plans to continue strengthening its supply chain practices, supporting employees, expanding its biodiversity programme and identifying further opportunities to reduce its environmental impact, while building on the progress already made across its sustainability journey.
