At DCG, we are committed to providing meaningful industry placements that prepare students for future careers. Our Level 2, Level 3, and T-Level learners undertake structured work experience designed to develop professional skills and industry knowledge while adding value to employer partners.
Work Experience Requirements:
Level 2 & Level 3 Learners
- Duration: One-week work experience placement
- Timeframe: Between 3rd November 2025 – 3rd July 2026
T-Level Learners
- Year 1 Cohort: 20 students
- Duration: 28 days by 23rd July 2027
- Delivery Model: Flexible – day release, block weeks, or mixed model
- Year 2 Cohort: 8 students
- Duration: 28 days by 24th July 2026
- Delivery Model: Flexible – day release, block weeks, or mixed model
Preparation & Support
To ensure placements are successful and efficient, DCG will:
- Pre-select candidates: All students will have completed CVs, cover letters, mock interviews and engaged with employers through work related activities e.g. guest speaker sessions, industry insight events, virtual work experience etc.
- Streamline employer engagement: Only suitable, prepared candidates will be put forward.
- Health & Safety checks: Managed by Billy Stafford, including:
- Employer H&S questionnaire
- Employers Liability Insurance verification
- Placement monitoring: Students will be issued timesheets/logbooks to record hours and activities, signed off by employers as evidence of engagement.
