Modux wins National Cyber Awards

Modux, the Bristol-based technology firm specialising in high-stakes cyber security, has been named ‘SME Consultancy of the Year’ at the prestigious National Cyber Awards 2025. The award recognises Modux’s exceptional innovation, technical excellence, and significant impact on securing the UK’s critical national infrastructure.

Over the years the team has discovered many significant vulnerabilities across critical national infrastructure that has allowed them to gain access and control of mobile cellular networks, automated ships & even equipment onboard 1000s of trains across the world.

The company also manufacturer hardware & build software for critical national infrastructure, including a handheld radio frequency security scanner, Farfield Insight, developed for UK national security.

Founded over 17 years ago by brothers Danny and Sash Rigby, Modux has become a trusted partner for government, defence, transport, and telecommunications organisations. The company is renowned for its pioneering approach, combining elite security research with software engineering and deep-dive research to solve complex challenges that few others will attempt. The judging panel, composed of influential industry leaders, commended Modux for its dedication to quality and its tangible contributions to national security.

They work to help secure the systems of our nations critical organisations and play a vital role working to help secure some of UK’s most critical national infrastructure, including many new and legacy rolling stock.
