Aura Brand Solutions is pleased to have completed a major branding programme for
Porterbrook at its Long Marston Rail Innovation Centre, bringing the company’s refreshed identity
to life ahead of the grand opening of its new test track which took place on 4th June.
As a long-standing partner to Porterbrook, Aura was appointed to manage the rollout of the
new brand across the site, as well as the Derby and London offices, delivering a fully integrated
solution encompassing surveying, project management, production and installation. The
programme extended beyond the built environment to include the rebranding of operational
vehicles and site assets, creating a consistent brand experience across the entire Long Marston
facility. The project was a particularly unique one, drawing on Aura’s expertise across signage,
fleet branding and rolling stock to deliver a seamless transformation under a single supplier.
With an ambitious deadline and a high-profile launch event on the horizon, careful planning
and coordination were essential. Aura developed and implemented a comprehensive rollout
strategy, working closely with Porterbrook throughout the programme to maintain quality,
consistency and minimal disruption to site operations.
The transformation has created a cohesive and professional environment that reflects
Porterbrook’s new brand identity at every touchpoint. From the moment visitors arrive on site, the
refreshed branding provides a fitting backdrop for one of the industry’s most important facilities.
John Bekalo, Director of Rail at Aura says, “We’re delighted to have supported Porterbrook at
such an exciting time in their journey. This project demonstrates the value of taking a joined-up
approach to brand implementation. By combining surveying, project management, signage
and fleet branding within a single programme, we were able to simplify delivery, maintain
consistency and help Porterbrook make a strong statement with its new identity ahead of a
significant milestone for the business.”
The rebrand was debuted to the public for Rail Live, one of the rail industry’s largest exhibitions,
with the new brand fully established ahead of the arrival of thousands of visitors.
