SLC is proud to sponsor the Yorkshire Infrastructure Enabling Growth Summit, hosted by MET Events on 13 November 2026 at The Queens Hotel in Leeds.

The event will bring together political leaders and senior figures from across the infrastructure, property, construction, investment and transport sectors.

The event comes at an exciting time for the region, with major infrastructure projects progressing, key industries expanding and significant opportunities emerging to drive further economic growth and investment.

Organised by MET Events, the event will examine Yorkshire’s major growth and infrastructure opportunities and, crucially, the practical steps needed to turn them into reality.

Running from 10:30 to 15:00, the summit will focus on the role infrastructure can play in enabling new homes, employment, investment and economic development across Yorkshire.

Sam Uren, Director of SLC, said:

“Yorkshire is an ambitious region with enormous untapped potential, but delivering that growth will depend on having the right infrastructure in place.

“We’ve seen first hand through our work across the UK, including most recently on the Northumberland Line, how better connectivity can unlock investment, support new homes and jobs and make a real difference to communities.

“There is already a huge amount happening across Yorkshire.

“The opportunity now is to bring political leadership, infrastructure delivery and private-sector investment together to turn that ambition into delivery.

“That’s why we’re delighted to be supporting this summit and the conversations and partnerships it can create to help unlock Yorkshire’s next wave of growth.”

Discussions will explore what is already moving forward, what needs to happen next and where stronger public-private partnerships could accelerate delivery, connecting the organisations responsible for policy and infrastructure with those investing in and delivering development on the ground.

The event will also consider the changing national planning and infrastructure landscape, including the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and its support for housing development around well connected transport hubs, such as rail, underground, and tram stations.

The programme is expected to include representatives from Yorkshire’s mayoral combined authorities alongside senior national government, infrastructure and industry figures.

A keynote session on the national growth and infrastructure context will feature Rail Minister Sir Peter Hendy, while a wider discussion on Yorkshire’s growth priorities will include regional mayors from across Yorkshire and Tom Riordan CBE, Northern Growth Envoy from HM Treasury (HMT).

Alongside the conference programme, delegates will have opportunities to continue discussions and make new connections during a two-course networking lunch and closing coffee session.
