A Bright Future for Rail in the North

This event is a must for anyone working, or seeking to work, in rail in the north of England. It will provide members with an update of plans for rail in the north together with a briefing on the exciting developments at Unipart in Doncaster and at the University of Huddersfield. .

Our speakers include:

Tim Wood, Rail Director at Transport for the North  providing an update on TfNs plans and aspirations.

Richard Carr, University of Huddersfield who will explain the universities plans around Smart Rolling Stock Maintenance together with providing an introduction to the recently launched Northern Rail Innovation Network. The University of Huddersfield is the Centre of Excellence on rolling stock within  UKRRIN.

Paul Morris, Senior Research and Innovation Manager, Unipart Rail who will provide an update on their Doncaster Innovation Centre and the opportunities for SMEs through the Sheffield City Region LEP project.

Justin Moss, Head of Sales, Electrification Siemens Mobility and Co-Chair of Northern Rail Industry Leaders (NRIL) who will outline the priorities for NRIL.

 

There will be time for Q&A with all our speakers and the event will last no longer than 1.5 hours.
