Our popular Fleet Performance event returns in March with a look at how digitally connected vehicles can actively and positively impact fleet performance.   Big data, data analytics, cyber security, real time, remote condition monitoring…these are terms flying around the sector but are they really supporting fleet performance?

We welcome a stellar line up of industry professionals to explore this further:

  • Keynote from David Horne, Managing Director of LNER providing the operators view on fleet performance
  • Marc Silverwood of Northern Rail and the outcome of their digital train programme
  • Mark Oakley from RSSB and the impact of Cyber Security on rail activity
  • Carl Selby from RDG’s Rail Data Marketplace
  • Marc Hurn from VTG and Richard Bew from Knorr Bremse on how rail freight is embracing digital technologies
  • Chris Beales from Porterbrook on Digital: the shiny object syndrome
  • *NEW* Russell Willans, GBRTT Director of Digital and Data Transformation
  • *NEW* Kieran L from National Cyber Security Centre
  • *NEW* George Bearfield, Rock Rail

*NEW* Workshop – Cyber security in YOUR rail business

Duration – 1 hour

Northern Rail and cyber partner Modux are delighted to provide this 1 hour workshop as part of the Digitally Connected Vehicles event.  In this session delegates can expect a practical overview to help you understand what cyber risks are, identifying those risks in your business, and finally review some practical steps you can take to mitigate those risks.  Delivered with railway insight and brought to life with a range of case study examples, this workshop is ideal for organisations at the early stages of their cyber journey.

Maximum of 20 places available.

Our Event Partners

We are excited to introduce our Event Partners:

“Belvoir Rail is proud to be on board as a supporting partner for the Digitally Connected Vehicles Event. This event is a chance to dive deep into one of the newest paradigms in fleet performance – digital connectivity. Rail is a vital component of the national critical infrastructure, and embracing digital integration and interoperability is non-negotiable. We are looking forward to this event which will bring together key stakeholders from across the railway to share further insights and perspectives”. Sonja Greschner, Communications Manager, Belvoir Rail

“In a period where data from Rail vehicles is being harvested and used for a wide range of applications, Fishbone recognise the value of the Digitally Connected Vehicles event and are proud to be a partner. Having spent almost a decade working with data from passenger and freight rolling stock, and rail infrastructure, Fishbone have developed a suite of services and products including the recently launched FISH cloud platform, aimed at understanding and improving the design and operational lifecycle of rail assets.” Mark Gadsby, Co-MD and Commercial Director, Fishbone

“At this event, Rail Forum are focusing not on the hype, but on what is working and delivering benefits for the industry, and exploring barriers to implementation.  Our experience shows that the right application of digital technology can be transformative, and open up smarter, safer and more sustainable rail services.” Paul Nelson, Marketing Manager, Journeo
