DB Cargo UK has announced two key appointments as it looks to adopt a more proactive approach to customer relations.
Kathryn Oldale, who previously led the company’s Commercial Development Team, has been promoted to the broader role of Commercial Director.
In her new position, Kathryn will take on responsibility for the former Sales Team, bringing together commercial development and sales under unified leadership.
Kathryn first joined DB Cargo UK in 2017 as Head of Innovation and Strategy, having previously held a commercial management role at pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson.
Since then, she has built a strong reputation as an ambassador for the business, developing trusted relationships with key industry stakeholders including Government and Train Operating Companies.
Supporting her in the new structure is Will Wilson, who has been appointed Head of Account Management.
Will has a long history with the DB Group, having joined in 2008 as a Production Manager with DB Schenker Rail.
After a period with Mabanaft UK, he returned to DB Cargo UK in 2022 as an Account Manager before being promoted to Head of Logistics Sales in 2024.
Welcoming the appointments, Chief Commercial Officer Roger Neary said the two would make a “formidable team” as the company looks to diversify its service offering and strengthen ties with both existing customers and new partners.
