It’s been a remarkable awards season for the BAM UK&I Ground Engineering Team, with three fantastic achievements to celebrate.

First, Angus Macgregor has been named ICE Scotland STEM Ambassador of the Year 2026, recognised for his outstanding commitment to engaging young people with engineering. Over the past year alone, Angus has worked with more than 1,200 young people across schools in some of Scotland’s most remote communities — part of a sustained 16-year outreach effort he is clearly passionate about.

Closer to home, Engineering Manager Emily Wood has been crowned Geotechnical Engineer of the Year at the Women in Construction & Engineering Awards 2026 — a well-deserved recognition for her continued excellence across project delivery and team support.

And rounding things off, BAM Ground Engineering have received an impressive 16 shortlistings across 13 categories at the Ground Engineering Magazine Awards 2026, reflecting a standout year across all nine of the team’s disciplines.

Congratulations to Angus, Emily, and the entire BAM Ground Engineering Team — a brilliant set of achievements that speak to the talent and dedication across the whole organisation.
