AiMTECH Invests in the Future with Two New Apprentices

The AimTECH logo

AiMTECH Business Services is continuing to invest in its team and future capabilities with the recruitment of two new apprentices across its Service Desk and Cyber Security operations.

The two appointments form part of AiMTECH’s continued development across its Simple, Secure and Connectedservice areas, while creating opportunities for the next generation of IT and cyber security professionals.

One apprentice will join the Service Desk, developing hands-on experience across IT support, Microsoft 365, cloud services, endpoint management and the day-to-day technology requirements of their customers.

Their second apprentice will focus on Cyber Security, gaining practical experience alongside the AiMTECH team as they continue to expand their Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus and information security services.

Building skills through real-world experience

At AiMTECH, they believe apprenticeships work best when learning is combined with genuine responsibility and practical experience.

Both apprentices will therefore work alongside experienced members of the team, developing their technical knowledge while being introduced to the processes, standards and customer service expectations required within a modern IT and cyber security business.

This is particularly important as the skills required within the industry continue to evolve.

Cyber security is no longer a specialist consideration sitting separately from IT. Businesses increasingly need people who understand how technology, security, compliance and operational processes work together.

Supporting our continued growth

The appointments also support AiMTECH’s wider growth plans.

Alongside their established managed IT, cloud and connectivity services, they are continuing to develop their cyber security and compliance capabilities, including Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO 27001.

With their renewed focus on the UK rail sector and our progression through RISQS, developing their own people and creating a sustainable skills pipeline will be an important part of that journey.

For AimTECH, growth isn’t simply about adding more customers.

It’s about building the team, processes and skills needed to support those customers properly.

Investing in the next generation

Technology and cyber security offer fantastic career opportunities, but everyone needs somewhere to start.

They’re proud to provide that opportunity and to give their new apprentices the chance to develop their careers through a combination of structured learning, mentoring and genuine experience.

AimTECH look forward to welcoming them to the company and watching their careers develop over the coming years.
