1:30pm - 2:30pm

Location

This event will take place online.

Objectives of the Event

  • to provide an update on how the Procurement Act 2023 is being implemented and the implications for rail industry suppliers and customers
  • to provide an opportunity for suppliers to ask questions on specific aspects of the Act as it impacts them.

The new Procurement Act came into force in February 2025 heralding sweeping reforms to the approach to public procurement. But what has actually changed and how is this impacting the rail industry and our supply chain?

We are delighted that Shoosmiths will be delivering a short focussed member exclusive webinar reflecting on the changes we have seen over the last year and answering questions from members on outstanding or more complex issues. This event will be relevant to all members across infrastructure, railways systems and rolling stock. Our speakers are Jennifer Clarke and Michelle Craven-Faulkner.

Jennifer is a Legal Director in Shoosmiths’ Commercial team and specialises in advising on non-contentious public procurement. Jen advises both public and private sector clients on mitigating procurement risk and ensuring compliance with the new Procurement Act, particularly in the transport, energy and infrastructure sectors.

Michelle is a Partner at Shoosmiths and also Rail Forum Vice Chair. With over 25 years rail experience Michelle specialises in commercial contracting across the industry working with supply chain companies, OEMs and client organisations.

The event will be delivered on Microsoft Teams.

  • Bookings will close at midday on Wednesday 11th February with the joining information (including the Teams link) being sent out on Friday 13th.
