SLC Rail aims to help clients better understand how the railways can contribute to social, economic and sustainability goals. Since it started in 2009, SLC has worked on making over 100 projects happen and specialises in helping third party scheme promoters develop strategic plans, win industry support, develop business cases that secure funding, and develop and deliver their aspirations.  The company is also working in partnership with AECOM on the Northumberland Line, which is the biggest third-party-funded rail upgrade project in the UK directly developed and promoted by a local authority.
