RFM Annual Charity Golf Day

Rail Forum Midlands annual charity golf day has been a success once again! This year teaming up with Railway Industry Association, Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club saw 60 golfers descend on its course last Friday for yet another fantastic day of golf.

Breakfast baps and refreshments were served before our teams headed out, with a two-course dinner served at the Lakeside Restaurant upon return, where the winners were announced.

With 15 teams of 4 players each, the winners of the Rail Forum Neil Harvey Memorial Trophy for the best team were Datum! With Signal House coming in second, and Tratos close behind in third place. The second competition for the Railway Industry Association Golf Trophy, an individual trophy for the best round, was won by Colin Legg! In second place we had Stuart Read and Paul Griffin in third.

Our final winner, taking top spot for the Nearest the Pin competition was James Taylor!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and supported our two chosen charities. Railway Industry Association choosing Railway Children and Rail Forum Midlands choosing Railway Mission – with Karen Stead and Liam Johnston from the charity being kind enough to join us for the day. All net proceeds raised on the day will be equally shared between the two charities, and money raised from the charity raffle held during dinner was added to this. A final thank you to our sponsors this year, Hitachi Information Control Systems Europe.
