Rail Forum Midlands Rail Entry Talent Summit for Apprentices and Graduates will be held on 14th September at NTU’s Clifton Campus. Aimed at all rail apprentices, recent graduates and other young people who are undertaking or have recently completed a structured training programme.
The Summit:
The current programme includes the following:
Digital Railway: Challenges and Opportunities (Network Rail)
Great Freight Challenge (Tarmac)
Improving the Customer Experience (East Midlands Trains)
Diversity and Inclusive Design (HS2)
Project Engineering Cradle to Grave (Progress Rail/YRP)
Using Data: What Rail Can Learn from Aerospace (Elastacloud)
Interactive sessions covering: transport planning, implementing the digital railway, improving the ‘customer experience’, project engineering from cradle to grave, using ‘big data’ in the rail industry and more.
The summit will provide delegates with a broader understanding of the industry they have chosen for their future and allow ample opportunity for them to work together to discuss some key ‘hot topics’ that will impact their future careers.
Employer Networking Buffet:
The day will conclude with employers joining delegates at 3.30pm to hear from a panel of industry guest speakers and to enjoy an early hot buffet supper at 5pm.

Pricing for RFM Members
Delegates can book places for the full summit using our website booking system below. Employers can also book places for the guest speakers / buffet supper session. There is a small charge of £25 plus VAT for RFM member delegates and employers to cover food and venue costs.
Pricing for Non RFM Members
We welcome delegates from all companies regardless of whether they are members of RFM or not. Delegates can book places for the full summit using our website booking system below. Employers can also book places for the guest speakers / buffet supper session. There is a small charge of £40 plus VAT for non RFM member delegates and employers.
