2:00pm - 3:00pm

Bombardier have announced that from Tuesday 14 April, they will restart train production at Derby and heavy maintenance at Ilford. On Wednesday 15 April they will restart component refurbishment and overhaul at Crewe. Ramp up will be managed around supply chain recovery and listening to their people. They will adapt to any new social distancing advice, and review and revise working practices as necessary.

Bombardier are keen to engage with the supply chain to explain their new arrangements and to understand the challenges that suppliers face for example restarting their own facilities to meet demand, adapting to meet Bombardier’s new schedule/requirements or providing other services that Bombardier will require.

This one hour session will provide an insight into Bombardier’s short term plans including how they are managing the health and safety aspects of the restart and there will be opportunity to ask questions. The session will involve:

John O’Connell  – HSE Lead

Mark Foxall  – Production Director and

Matt Colclough –  VP Operations

The event will be delivered via zoom and full instructions on how to download zoom and access the meeting will be provided in the joining instructions.

Please note that joining information for the event will be sent out just after lunchtime on 16th to allow maximum time for delegate registrations.

Please also note the timing of this session may change slightly so please keep through until 3.30pm clear in your diary!
