Additionally, on 1st March, Elaine Clark will take up the new position of Chief Executive Officer. Elaine has been General Manager of Rail Forum Midlands for the last two and a half years and she will continue to be responsible for the delivery of RFM’s key strategic objectives together with implementation of the Rail Sector Deal Midlands initiatives.

Paul Francis, outgoing Chair said, “I am delighted to welcome Paul Robinson to the Board as my successor. Paul brings a wealth of experience together with huge enthusiasm for our sector and the UK supply chain. He and the Board will be very well supported by Elaine and the wider RFM team”.

Paul Robinson said, “I am very much looking forward to taking on the role of Chair of RFM, working with the Board and the wider RFM team. RFM punches way above its weight on the regional and national stage; with a clear focus on doing what’s best and right for members. I’m keen to understand member companies’ key issues and opportunities and I am looking forward to meeting as many of them as possible over the coming months.  I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Paul Francis for his many years of support; during his time as Chair he has overseen continued expansion and transformation of the organization”.

Elaine Clark, CEO said “I am delighted to be working with Paul Robinson on the next phase of development and delivery of RFM’s objectives for our members. We have achieved a lot over the last couple of years, but there is much more to do to ensure our industry and supply chain benefit from the support they need to allow them to deliver better services for the customer, improve their productivity and grow their businesses”.
