Rail Forum is delighted to announce that TDI Greenway has renewed as our Manufacturing Partner for the 2026/27 membership year, marking an outstanding third consecutive year of partnership. This continued relationship reinforces our shared commitment to championing UK manufacturing capability in rail, and to shining a spotlight on the breadth and depth of what British industry has to offer both domestically and on the world stage.
Paul Salkeld, Head of Business Unit for design, engineering, and manufacture at TDI Greenway, said:
“TDI Greenway are delighted to be supporting the Rail Forum as their Manufacturing Partner again in 2026/27. This is an important year for our rail deployment arm, the Greenway Initiative, designed to deliver community rail programmes using very light rail technology. As we look to re-open disused railway lines across the UK, we will focus on local supply chains for both infrastructure work and the manufacturing of Revolution VLR. This is an exciting time to be working with Rail Forum with its extensive industry base, and we are looking forward to flying the flag for UK Manufacturing.”
Cat Appleby, Membership & Engagement Director at Rail Forum, said:
“It is a pleasure to see TDI Greenway continue their role as our Manufacturing Partner for 2026-2027. Whilst manufacturing has long been considered the cornerstone of the British economy and a driver for innovation, exports and highly skilled employment, TDI Greenway’s activity has the potential to mark a significant step change in rail vehicle design, manufacturing and implementation and by its nature, is opening opportunities once considered impossible. This makes them a natural partner to explore how manufacturing in the UK can bring more to transport. We look forward to another exciting year together.”
The renewal of our Manufacturing Partnership sits alongside Rail Forum’s continued and growing programme of support for manufacturing members. With around a third of our membership actively involved in manufacturing, this is a vital and vibrant part of our community and one we are committed to supporting with dedicated activity, advocacy, and collaboration.
Central to this work is our Manufacturing Steering Group, which brings together a powerful collective of member expertise to shape and lead this programme. We are proud to recognise the organisations giving their time and insight to drive this forward: Cembre, Composite Braiding, BCM GRC Ltd, Datum, Hydram Engineering, Alfatronix, Ibstock, Infotec, Signal House Group and TDI Greenway. Together, this group represents an exceptional cross-section of UK rail manufacturing.
Activity to showcase the range and depth of UK manufacturing capability is ongoing, and we encourage all manufacturing members to continue engaging with our programme of support. Further announcements on upcoming campaigns and initiatives will follow in due course.
