In June Government launched their consultation on the primary legislation changes required to implement the rail reform agenda.

The consultation covers:

  • core functions and duties of Great British Railways
  • new governance framework
  • reform of wider industry structures and processes

Government are also seeking evidence of the risks and potential implications of the policies proposed to inform their impact assessments. This includes any potential costs, benefits, disadvantages or risks.

Full details for the consultation can be found here.

Rail Forum will be responding to this consultation on members’ behalf and we are keen to provide you with an opportunity to contribute to this. This short online session will be held on Zoom and will use our draft response as a basis for discussion to seek additional input to our final submission.

If you wish to attend please register below. We will circulate a draft document (to aid the discussion) on Monday 11th along with joining information.
